The Cleaning Process
Inspection
I ascertain the type of fibre synthetic or natural fibre. Identify what the stains are and the construction method of the carpet, this will indicate to me which cleaning solutions and stain removers I will use.
Stain Removal
Stain removal is carried out prior to cleaning, if any staining is visible after cleaning, I repeat the stain removal process again.
Pre-Treatment
Pre treatment involves the use of applying specialised sprays known as pre spray. These solutions absorb into the carpet fibres breaking down and loosening dirt and allergens and stains from your carpet fibres, when required agitation is used using a bristle pile brush to help dislodge soil from the carpet fibres
Cleaning the Carpet
I can now start to clean your carpet using the industry-leading high suction air flex cleaning unit. I use a low ph mildly alkaline cleaning solution mixed with an antibacterial deodoriser as standard on all carpets that I clean using low or neutral ph solutions doesn’t leave sticky residues which stops any rapid resoiling.
In the areas where a higher ph, Stronger pre spray is required I use an acid rinse to neutralise the alkalinity stopping rapid resoil, it also conditions your carpets. It’s a bit similar to using shampoo and conditioner it leaves the carpets fibres softer and neutral ph.
